Which coloured contact lenses are right for you?

Coloured contact lenses are a popular trend. Many of us have already tried coloured lenses, for example at Halloween or carnival, some wear them frequently to enhance their original eye colour, or to give themselves a whole new look.

There are many different types of coloured contact lenses: enhanced tints intensify the natural eye colour while opaque tints replace our eye colour with creepy and extravagant patterns like zombie eyes, snakeskin or cat eyes. In addition, most coloured contact lenses are available with power, so it's quite simple to replace your regular contact lenses*.

Find out which coloured contact lenses are best for YOU!

What different types of coloured contact lenses are available?

Basically there are two different types of coloured contact lenses – coloured lenses with and without power.

  • Prescription colour contacts correct your myopia (nearsightedness) or hyperopia (farsightedness) as well as enhance or completely change your eye colour.
  • Non-corrective coloured contacts have no lens power for vision correction and are worn for cosmetic purposes to change your eye colour.
Enhancement tints

Enhancement tint

As the name suggests, an enhancing colour is intended to enhance the natural colour of your eyes. Coloured contact lenses with this type of tint are usually best for people who have light eyes and want to make their eye colour more vivid.

Vivid tints

Vivid and opaque tint

You're looking for brighter colours that will attract all eyes on you? Then opaque contact lenses are just right for you. They cover your natural eye colour and replace it with a new, vivid colour. Vivid tints are available in a large range of colours.

Crazy tints

Crazy lenses

Crazy lenses are characterized by their unique colours and patterns. Craziness and extravagance have priority: Whether dragon, snake or flower eyes, crazy lenses are the right choice for every costume on Halloween, carnival or any other party.

What coloured contact lenses should you choose for your eyes?

The colour of your coloured contact lenses depends on many factors, such as your hair colour, skin tone and your personal taste. You should therefore ask yourself:

What kind of look do I want to achieve? Do I want my eyes to look natural or rather dramatic?

Once you have found the colours that suit you, have fun customising your outfit, make-up and jewellery! Your perfect match combines optimal lens comfort with a trendy style that makes you feel beautiful and different!

Note: All contact lenses listed below are available as prescription coloured lenses. Just take out your conventional contact lenses and replace them with coloured daily, monthly and quarterly lenses. Read the product descriptions and find lenses for you that match your desired wearing time. Also, always check the parameters of your current contact lenses and make sure that your desired colour lenses match these parameters.

Coloured contact lenses for light eyes

Enhancing colours are usually best with light eye colours because they blend your natural colour with a touch of something else. A blue colour blend will not be as noticeable on a dark brown iris, while someone with green eyes could put on this blue lens and you could see the difference from five meters away.

Coloured contact lenses for dark eyes

The darker your eyes are, the darker or more vivid and opaque your coloured contact lenses should be. A contact lens made for lighter eye colors (blue or green) will not be as visible on a darker eye.

Coloured contact lenses as part of a costume

Vivid and opaque tints cover your natural eye colour completely and are therefore a perfect addition to your costumes. Whether you want to create a creepy or playful look, crazy lenses are a must-have eye-catcher when you dress up. Because just like a make-up that matches your costume is essential, coloured contact lenses prepare your eyes for an unforgettable night.

Crazy lenses cover every natural eye colour and are available in countless designs.

*Always check the parameters of your current contact lenses and make sure that your desired colour lenses match these parameters. If you are not sure, consult your optician or eye care professional.

One more thing: Please have your eyes checked regularly by an ophthalmologist or optician to know your exact dioptres and get advice on changing from contact lenses to coloured lenses.
