How to select parameters?

Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Clear 58 monthly contact lenses for daily use are made from the world’s most popular lens material – etafilcon – and also benefit from Clearlab’s innovative thin Truform edge. In minus dioptrics they’re produced with a diameter 14.0 and a base curve 8.7, and in plus dioptrics they’re produced with a diameter 14.5 and a base curve 8.7.
Clear58 contact lenses are available in following parameters:
- from –10.0 to –6.O (per 0.5 D)
- from –6.0 to +4.0 (per 0.25D)
- from +4.0 to +6.0 (per 0.50D)
The UV filter in contact lenses increases the protection of the cornea from the dangerous ultraviolet radiation. However, lenses do not cover the entire eye or eye area, so the combination of contact lenses that have UV filter and sunglasses is the ideal protection against harmful UV rays.
