Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Contact Life spheric contact lenses are specially designed for daily wear, with a monthly replacement cycle. Their silicone hydrogel material does not require additional surface treatment, ensuring an optimal balance between moisture and oxygen permeation. These lenses can be worn comfortably throughout the whole day. Contact Air spheric are ideal for extended work in front of the screen and for all those who are often exposed to dry air. The material development was awarded Sicca. It is extremely thin and its properties are very similar to the cornea. The lens in the eye is therefore not acting as a foreign body and doesn't affect the environment of the eye, which is optimal, especially for sensitive eyes. The great advantage of spherical lenses Contact Life is a high oxygen permeability and high water content at the same time.
The UV filter in contact lenses increases the protection of the cornea from the dangerous ultraviolet radiation. However, lenses do not cover the entire eye or eye area, so the combination of contact lenses that have UV filter and sunglasses is the ideal protection against harmful UV rays.
