How to select parameters?

Dioptres (D/dpt./PWR)
Power refers to the refractive power of the contact lens. Look for a plus (+) or minus (-) sign. Note that an equals sign (=) may be used in place of a minus sign.
Curvature (BC)
The base curve describes the curvature of the contact lens surface, i.e. how well the lens fits the shape of your eye.
Diameter (DIA)
The diameter is the width of the contact lens (measured in millimeters). It is not recommended to select a new diameter size without first consulting your optician. Diameter impacts the fit, comfort and functionality of your lenses.
Cylinder (CYL)
The cylinder measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. It is a negative value that corrects curvature of the cornea.
Cylinder Axis (AX)
The cylinder axis measurement is used for the correction of astigmatism. The value ranges from 0° - 180° and determines the exact position of corneal curvature.
Addition (ADD)
Addition is the difference between the dioptric value for distance vision and the dioptric value for near vision. It indicates the magnifying power in multifocal lenses.

Users of the PureVision Toric contacts can start using the new PureVision 2 for Astigmatism lenses without a new prescription. Due to their different parameters, we recommend consulting the new prescription with an ophthalmologist.
Bausch & Lomb has limited the production of Purevision 2 for Astigmatism contact lenses and currently does not guarantee the delivery of products that are not in stock. For this reason, we sell Purevision 2 for Astigmatism contact lenses only in the parameters that are currently in stock. Versions that are not currently in stock cannot be ordered but can be replaced with Biofinity Toric contact lenses. However, due to different parameters, we recommend consulting an ophthalmologist first.
